  1. Problems Printing with Compaq Prolinea or DeskPro computers

  4. If you have one of the Compaq Prolinea or DeskPro models listed
  5. below, and are using a parallel attached printer which supports
  6. bidirectional communications (such as the HP LaserJet Series 4 & 5
  7. printers, some Lexmark LaserPrinters, and possibly others), you may
  8. experience problems resulting in timeout errors when printing.
  9.  
  10. This may be corrected by copying a newer LPT driver (LPT.VXD) from
  11. this directory to your \windows\system directory. If you continue to
  12. have difficulties after doing this, please check and make sure the
  13. ECP port on the computer is configured for DMA channel 3.
